The concept of intangible cultural heritage was a key part of this research project. The word ‘intangibility’ directly references format and methods of interaction — which was the basis of my research.
The question of tangibility became especially prevalent in a different way following the national lockdown brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. It forced our work out of physical contexts and into the digital. These 3D scans were created to distill and document a moment of physicality and explore experience through the digital.
